From the Beeley Website…

“The Brasserie is a bright and spacious dining area located within the main Inn that can also be used as a private function space. Recently refurbished under the expert eye of The Duchess of Devonshire The Brasserie now boasts a traditional setting with modern décor which has created a delightful restaurant and function space for up to 44 people. The floor to ceiling windows allow natural daylight to fill the room and provide views over the stream in to Beeley Village. The Brasserie also provides direct access to the also newly designed Garden Terrace providing extra seating with heaters if required”

The main problem faced with the existing interior was a combination of a imposing old-fashioned serving counter and the footprint of the chairs and tables.

The servery counter was stripped out and relocated against a wall, leaving the space free for circulation and more tables. The new modern bespoke unit is a combination of servery counter, tea/coffee point and waiter station.

We removed old circular dining tables and replaced them with slightly smaller square tables of natural oak, which can be moved together to usefully seat larger groups. Smaller tub chairs with natural oak legs replaced larger chairs. The natural oak theme is also evident in the floors that were refinished as part of the program.

The Duchess wanted the walls painted white to showcase artwork, which breaks up the white expanse and adds colour to the room. At the end of the room we also installed a feature wall.

Two bespoke feature chandeliers take centre stage in the ceiling coffers add further colour and are a focal point of the brasserie.

Voiles and curtains follow the overall colour theme and soften the feel of the light filled room.
