Adjoining the popular Mayfield Pub/Restaurant in Seamer, near Scarborough, this property is part of QDOS group and was previously used as staff accommodation.

Our brief was to turn the former house into 6 ensuite bedrooms to meet the growing demand for hotel guest rooms.

All the bedrooms have hard timber flooring throughout, and have a “seaside holiday” feel by way of artwork on the walls. We designed unique pictorial shower-walls, using local photographs of Scarborough that are much admired.

A ground floor wheelchair accessible en-suite bedroom has low-level oak furniture, and a wet room with shower seat. The style of this room is as inviting as the other bedrooms, and like the other rooms has a slightly nautical feel about it.

Although all the bedrooms are in the same property, they each have individual touches to their internal décor. A mixture of padded headboards contrasted with tongue & groove wall panels adds texture and interest. Fabrics are hard wearing, classic neutrals, chosen to compliment the natural timbers used for the floor and furniture.
