Devonshire Arms, Beeley – WC’s

The objective of the project was to create a statement whilst at the same time giving the WC’s at Devonshire Arms, Beeley a major face lift.

We created dado panels to cover exposed pipework and services – all too common features of period properties! New washbasins and cantilevered toilets with hidden cisterns have infra-red touch technology, saving water and promoting hygiene. A redundant basin alcove in the Ladies WC was re-purposed into a space for placing handbags and mobiles.

Walls were papered and, although the colours are bold, the pattern is reminiscent of a traditional design with feature hanging mirrors and wall lights.

The flooring looks like carpet but is in fact a hard-wearing porcelain tile which plays tricks with your eyes!

Overall, the look is a mix of classic porcelain, bold colours and new technology.
