Its all hands on deck at the Star Inn the Harbour, Whitby.
Star Inn the Harbour opens for business soon and are taking bookings via their website from 1 July 2017. Until then the team here are working towards the final site fit.
Both bars, of reclaimed and pegged timber, have gone in; the flooring and carpets are down; sumptuous banquette seating is in position and tempting for those who have been up ladders all day!
A new steel staircase is being used by the decorators as they continue with the first floor washrooms. The washrooms themselves, although the smallest rooms in the restaurant, share the nautical theme of the main areas.
Over and above
We’ve tied ourselves in knots (fisherman’s of course) in the detail of the rope ceiling in the main restaurant area – it looks amazing. Lights are up throughout the building, imparting atmosphere and ambiance, even at this stage!
As with the Star Inn the City, there are a few quirky features – not least the rather large, locally made wire sculpture nestling in the rafters above the entrance.
Very much looking forward to seeing, and sampling the menu.
